Fiber vs. Disk Fiber lasers for cutting sheet metal: Both processes have their advantages but the fact you really need to consider is the level of experience the laser manufacturer has with one micron technology. At Fabtech 2011 almost every laser manufacturer with a booth had a Fiber-delivered laser cutting machine on display. In some cases, the machine at the show was the only machine that manufacturer had built. Some manufacturers showing a fiber-delivered laser at Fabtech have just a few years’ experience under their belts. The new office will support Icon sales staff and on-site machine demonstrations, sales presentations, and customer training. Icon has experienced a large increase in sales this year and has outgrown their current office space.
